Guitars

Xavier started playing the guitar very early, in particular interested by rock and jazz. His practice soon revolved around free and improvised music thanks to musicians he met. He has been part of the Tribu Hérisson collective since its foundation and is part of three of its ensembles: the OGRE, Twelve Musical Poems and the Grand Lustucru.

Today, Xavier mainly plays improvised music and is developing a practice of guitar with accessories (pedals, various objects…). His music has been a work on the sound as raw material and allowed him to get the jazz guitar prize from Lyon CNR (region national conservatory).

He worked with the collective Tout est Bon dans le Cochon (Lyon), the Ishtar collective (Revermont sud), Musique en Friche (Clermont-Ferrand) and plays in the big band of guitars « La théorie des cordes » directed by Alain BLESSING. He improvises with Mathias FORGE in “Sapiens”, he is a member of the rock band “Albert Von Flash” and collaborates with the company of contemporary theatre « Traversant 3 ».

On top of his creative work, his teaching skills serve several music schools in the Rhône-Alpes region.
